It was a drawn out affair, but on Tuesday; the long-winded Raheem Sterling saga finally came to a head as Manchester City confirmed his signing. The Citizens held a long-standing interest in the England youngster and his move to the Etihad Stadium was more a case of when, not if, it would be completed. As one might expect, social media was immediately rife with jokes regarding his future at City, some suggesting he will struggle for playing time with the two-time Premier League champions, while others suggested Sterling would be plying his trade for a “lesser” team in the foreseeable future....

The Raiders announced the move shortly after Glazer’s report. The Associated Press reported Sunday night that Allen had been let go, but the reporter later deleted and then retracted his breaking news tweet. Allen posted an 8-28 record through his two-and-a-quarter seasons. He was the 18th coach in franchise history, and its fourth over the past eight seasons. The Raiders’ last game with Allen was Sunday’s embarrassing, 38-14 Week 4 loss to the Dolphins in London....

While the Chiefs are currently priced as hefty 8.5-point road favorites with an implied win probability of 80 percent (-400 on the moneyline), they had trouble gaining margin on the Raiders in their prior meeting back in Week 5. After falling into an early 20-0 hole in the first half, the Chiefs rallied back to secure a narrow 30-29 home victory. Two pieces of news regarding NFL quarterbacks yesterday had small impacts on the betting lines in Las Vegas. First, reports said Johnny Manziel would be making his first career start for the Browns. Then, Cam Newton was involved in a car accident in Charlotte. Newton has been released from the hospital but appears very unlikely to play. The Panthers were adjusted from 5.5- to 4.5-point favorites for Sunday’s home game against the Bucs following news that Newton will probably not play....
