As far as the best movie of the decade (2010-2019), Tarantino thinks The Social Network takes the cake. Tarantino went as far as to say that The Social Network, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield, “crushes all the competition” when it comes to the many other movies that were released in the decade.

Tarantino’s second favorite movie of the decade is Christopher Nolan’s war film Dunkirk. Tarantino apparently had to watch Dunkirk three times for him to fully appreciate the movie, however, because he was first just blown away by it on a technical level, and that prevented him from appreciating the movie’s characters. “It wasn’t until the third time that I could see past the spectacle and into the people the story is about. I finally could see through the trees a little bit,” Tarantino said on The Ringer’s Rewatchables podcast.

Considering how much Tarantino liked Dunkirk, one has to imagine that he will be excited to see Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, which is currently scheduled for a July 17 theatrical release.
