Marc seems to think this decision will help Xbox LIVE as a whole, I’m not sure how, but apparently it’s going to “provide the greatest benefit to the Xbox LIVE community.” We will see what M$ means by this in the coming months.

The Halo 2 community is sure to feel the brunt of this impact the most once their treasured title is stripped of its online play. Mr. Whitten even mentions the impact of the Halo community, and then delivers a swift kick to the nads by marketing Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and the upcoming Halo Reach as ways for Halo players to get their fix of Halo.

I will have you know Microsoft, that I can’t play Blood Gulch on any of those Halo games!

What do you think of the death of Halo 2 multiplayer? Are there any Xbox games your going to play online before the service bites the big one?
