RELATED: Genshin Impact: The Best Builds For Raiden Shogun
It’s going to take quite a few items and a lot of Mora to help the Raiden Shogun meet her full potential as a character. This guide will show any potential Raiden Shogun player everything they need to max out her level and talents.
Leveling Materials
Every Genshin Character needs 8,362,650 EXP to reach level 90 — even gods. Here’s how much they all need at each level, as well as how much Mora it’ll cost:
Raiden Shogun Ascension Items
As an Electro character, the Raiden Shogun will use Vajrada Amethyst at her ascension levels. Alongside these beautiful gems, she’ll need some Handguard items dropped by Nobushi and Kairagi enemies, Storm Beads — the boss item dropped by the Thunder Manifestation, and a regional specialty of Inazuma known as Amakumo Fruit.
Gemstones - Where to Find Vajrada Amethyst
There are a few ways to get any of the elemental gems, including crafting, converting, completing daily commissions, or buying them from the Mondstadt and Liyue souvenir shops. However, many bosses will drop them, as well. The higher the level of the boss or challenge, the higher the level of the gem they’ll drop.
These bosses can drop Vajrada Amethyst, which the Raiden Shogun needs plenty of:
Electro Hypostasis Thunder Manifestation Stormterror Childe Azhdaha Coral Defenders Primo Geovishap The Shogun Electro Regisvine Jourui Workshop

Enemy Drop - Where to Find Handguards
The common enemy drop that Her Eternal Excellency uses to ascend are the Handguards dropped by Nobushi and Kairagi warriors.
The higher the level of these enemies, the higher level of Handguard you can obtain from them.
At any level, you can obtain Old Handguards from these enemies. When the Kairagi and Nobushi are level 40 or higher, they can drop Kageuchi Handguards. At level 60 or higher, they can drop Famed Handguards.
These former samurai are only found in Inazuma, so don’t expect to run into them anywhere else. Luckily, though, they’re found almost anywhere in the region, especially on Kannazuka.
Boss Drop - How to Get Storm Beads
Storm Beads are the special boss item dropped by the Thunder Manifestation of Inazuma’s Seirai Island. It takes a bit of work to unlock this boss fight in the first place, but once it is, the player can challenge the Thunder Manifestation repeatedly to obtain Storm Beads.

Each time the boss is fought, it’ll cost 40 Original Resin to obtain the rewards.
Local Specialty - Where to Find Amakumo Fruit
While fighting the Thunder Manifestation on Seirai Island, those looking to level up the Raiden Shogun should look around the area. Seirai Island is the only place where Amakumo Fruit can be found, and she needs a ton of it for ascension. The ground around Amakumo Peak, where the Thunder Manifestation is found, is a great place to find Amakumo Fruit growing.
Raiden Shogun Talent Materials
The talent book series that the Raiden Shogun will need is the Light series. She’ll also need some more items, listed below, and a hefty amount of Mora. At the bottom of this table are the total numbers of these items needed to maximize a talent, as well as those numbers tripled to see how many the Raiden Shogun needs to upgrade all three talents completely.
Talent Books - Light Series
The Light series of talent books are found in a variety of ways, including from events, crafting, and more, like every talent book series. However, to challenge domains and find these books directly, head to the Violet Court domain on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Trounce Materials and Crowns of Insight
The final items that the Raiden Shogun needs for upgrading her talents are the Molten Moment, an item obtained by defeating La Signora, and Crowns of Insight. The former can be obtained by challenging the weekly Trounce domain against the Crimson Witch. She’ll drop the Molten Moment when defeated at level 70 or higher.
Crowns of Insight are super rare items that are needed to finalize a talent’s upgrade, bringing it from level 9 to 10. They can be obtained from special time-limited events, or by making offerings to the Sacred Sakura in Inazuma and Frostbearing Tree on Dragonspine.
Genshin Impact is available on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices, with a Nintendo Switch version in development.
