Players have been fined nearly $20,000 for making such a tackle, which has been deemed illegal. The hefty dollar amount is supposed to detract them from doing it.

King did save a return touchdown from Eric Weems with the tackle, which ended up saving the Raiders four points. But it didn’t help in the long run, as Oakland lost to Atlanta, 35-28.
So King wants some help paying off the fine.
King is joking around about the account (he signed a contract with $7.75 million guaranteed), but the incoming fine will be no joke.
King felt the tackle was needed. When someone asked him on Twitter why he did it, he said he had to protect his stats.
